- AI and digital fire safety to take centre stage at Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026.
- NFPA partnership to focus on global standards and local implementation.
- Experts to share practical lessons on resilience, emergency response and critical infrastructure.
The Fire Protection & Technology Summit will take place on 16 and 17 November during Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026, at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center (RFECC). The CPD-certified conference forms part of the wider exhibition, which runs from 16–18 November.
This year’s programme will focus on topics including AI-enabled fire detection, digital life safety systems, industrial hazard protection, workforce development and fire engineering. Organisers say the agenda reflects the growing need to integrate fire protection with wider risk management as Saudi Arabia delivers major infrastructure projects under Vision 2030.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) will once again lead the Summit’s second day, bringing together regional and international experts to discuss how globally recognised fire and life safety standards can support local priorities and improve resilience across the Kingdom.
Among the confirmed speakers, Abdulrahman M. Al-Qahtani, Fire Chief at Saudi Railway Company (SAR), will share lessons on managing major incidents at critical infrastructure during the crucial first hour of an emergency. A session from Faris Alzahrani, Health, Safety & Security Consultant at the Ministry of Education and Yousif Mohamed, Fire Prevention Officer at King Fahd International Airport, will explore how artificial intelligence can support decision-making while maintaining human oversight in fire safety operations.
Other speakers include representatives from Heathrow Airport Fire & Rescue Service, the National Fire Chiefs Council, the National Petrochemical Industrial Company and King Abdullah Financial District.
Intersec Saudi Arabia 2026 is expected to attract more than 25,000 visitors, 500 exhibitors and over 110 speakers, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration across the fire, safety and security sectors.
