The Netherlands-based company develops software that integrates fire safety information into building information modelling (BIM), allowing requirements and protective measures to be recorded, checked and shared during the design and preparation stages of construction projects.
ISO 9001 sets requirements for quality management systems, including process control, customer focus and continual improvement. ISO/IEC 27001 covers information security management, providing a framework for identifying and managing risks to information and protecting its confidentiality, integrity and availability.
Orange Button said the certifications reflect its approach to managing software development, implementation and customer support, alongside the handling of project information shared between construction stakeholders.
“We believe that safer and smarter construction go hand in hand. When fire safety is organised properly from the start, it results not only in a safer building, but also in a more manageable construction process. These ISO certifications fit perfectly with that way of working” said Wim Woermeijer, Founder and CEO of Orange Button.
The company aims to make fire safety an integral part of the digital construction process, identifying potential issues earlier in a project and improving the traceability of fire safety requirements through construction and handover. Its software is available worldwide.
The certifications come as Orange Button seeks to expand internationally. Its software is intended for construction companies, consultants, designers and other project partners involved in managing fire safety information within BIM workflows.
