Taking place at The Regency Hotel, the event will focus on “Intelligent HSSE: Leveraging AI to Strengthen Process Safety, Drive Sustainability and Enhance Operational Excellence.”
The programme will examine how artificial intelligence and other digital technologies can support hazard identification, incident prevention and operational safety, alongside more established approaches to fire safety, emergency response and process safety.
For the fire sector, sessions covering fire safety, emergency response and safety in oil and gas operations will be particularly relevant. The conference will also explore the use of drones, digital monitoring and other emerging technologies to identify hazards and improve safety performance.
PDC 2026 is expected to attract professionals from Kuwait’s oil and energy sector, as well as government, healthcare, academia and private industry. The two-day programme will include keynote presentations, panel discussions, technical sessions and an industry exhibition showcasing safety technologies and services.
The event will also feature the ASSP GCC HSE Excellence Awards 2026, recognising organisations for their health, safety, security and environmental performance.
The conference forms part of a wider professional development programme organised by the ASSP Kuwait Chapter, with training courses scheduled before and after the main event. Topics include emergency and crisis management, first aid, HSE, drilling competency, HAZOP and quantitative risk assessment (QRA), and scaffold inspection.
The focus on AI and digital technologies reflects their growing application across industrial safety, although the conference programme also places these technologies alongside practical measures covering emergency preparedness, competency and process safety.
PDC 2026 will be held under the patronage of the Kuwaiti Minister of Oil.
