  • Apollo Fire Detectors has been named ESG Company of the Year at the FSM Awards 2026.
  • The award recognises the company’s sustainability strategy, including supply chain improvements and environmental initiatives.
  • Apollo has introduced measures to reduce waste, improve product sustainability and increase transparency.

The award highlights Apollo’s ongoing sustainability strategy, which focuses on reducing environmental impact while maintaining innovation and long-term value for customers and stakeholders. The company said the recognition reflects progress made through its ‘People, Planet and Product’ approach, which has guided a range of initiatives across the business.

Among the initiatives recognised was Apollo’s achievement of Platinum EcoVadis certification, placing the company among the top-performing organisations globally assessed for sustainability performance. The company has also introduced a new Supplier Code of Conduct and Ethical Sourcing Policy to strengthen responsible practices throughout its supply chain.

Apollo has also focused on improving the environmental performance of its products. This includes transitioning detector dust covers from virgin PVC to 97% recycled PET (rPET), reducing the use of virgin plastic while creating a recyclable solution. The company has expanded the use of digital installation guides, which it says has removed the need for more than 250,000 printed pages.

Further sustainability measures include securing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for key product ranges, providing independently verified environmental performance information to support more informed decisions by customers.

Commenting on the award, Apollo Sustainability Manager Adil Sardardeen said: “This award reflects how sustainability has become part of Apollo’s culture and everyday decision-making. It belongs to the many colleagues across the business who continue to embed it into the way we design, manufacture and operate.”

The FSM Awards celebrate achievements across the fire and security sectors, with the ESG Company of the Year category recognising organisations demonstrating innovation and commitment in environmental, social and governance practices.

Apollo said it will continue to focus on responsible business practices, transparency and sustainable innovation as part of its contribution to a more sustainable fire safety industry.
