The General Command of Dubai Civil Defence has won the Incident Resolution Spotlight award at Intersec Awards 2026 for its Drone Firefighting Unit, which improves situational awareness, response speed and firefighter safety in high-risk incidents. Held at the Conrad Dubai, the fifth edition of the awards recognised 17 categories of fire, safety and security excellence, judged by 23 international experts.
In fire and safety categories, Kentec Electronics and Hochiki Middle East shared Best Active Fire Safety Product for the K-Detect-Ion Detector and ACD Multi-Sensor with CO, respectively, advancing early detection reliability and reducing false alarms. CI Global took Best Passive Fire Safety Product for CI Safe, praised for robust passive protection against fire and smoke spread. WSP Middle East won Best Fire Safety Project – MEA for One Za’abeel – Skyward, setting benchmarks in fire engineering for complex developments.
Axis Communications received Best Safety Protection Solution for the AXIS D6210 Air Quality Sensor, monitoring indoor environments for healthier safety outcomes. Saudi Aramco‘s From Code to Clarity to Compliance initiative earned Impact Makers recognition for embedding safety culture enterprise-wide.
Khalid Mubarak from Dubai Municipality was awarded the H.H Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Emirati Rising Star Award for advancing UAE safety standards. Albadr Jannah from Saudi Aramco was Industry Leader of the Year, with Jazyah Aldossary from Saudi Aramco taking Women Trailblazers.
