134 specialist officers join Kuwait Fire Force

A total of 134 specialist officers have officially joined the Kuwait Fire Force after graduating with the rank of lieutenant during a ceremony attended by Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

The graduation and oath-taking ceremony was also attended by Kuwait Fire Force Chief Major General Talal Al-Roumi and marked the latest intake of officers into the country’s fire service.

Addressing the graduates, Sheikh Fahad paid tribute to the work carried out by firefighters, praising their commitment to protecting communities and acknowledging the risks they face in the line of duty.

He described firefighting as a profession requiring courage and dedication, noting that firefighters willingly put their own lives at risk to save others and protect both public and private property.

Reflecting on the unpredictable nature of emergency response, Sheikh Fahad said the work of firefighters is “a battle whose time, place and scale are unknown”, adding that personnel carry out their duties with God Almighty always in mind.

The minister also conveyed the greetings and congratulations of Kuwait’s political leadership to the newly commissioned officers and said he was honoured to share the occasion with them.

He urged the graduates to remain true to the oath they had taken, stressing the importance of safeguarding lives and property while serving the nation with integrity.

Sheikh Fahad encouraged the new officers to continue developing their professional skills, maintain high standards of efficiency and strive to improve their performance throughout their careers.

The ceremony marks another step in strengthening the Kuwait Fire Force with a new cohort of specialist officers prepared to undertake operational responsibilities across the country.
