The Fire Middle East Conference has postponed its third year to 30 November 2026 due to ongoing security challenges across the Middle East, but reveals that nothing is changing in regard to its plans to host its essential event.

The decision follows careful assessment of the current regional situation, which has created significant barriers for key sponsors, speakers, partners and the organising team to travel safely to Saudi Arabia.

However, it has since revealed it is focusing on gearing up to bring together senior fire and life safety stakeholders for a focused day of insight, collaboration and practical strategies shaping the future of protection across the region in November.

Set against the backdrop of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious development agenda, the conference will provide a high-level forum where regulators, end users, consultants and solution providers can address real-world challenges, from evolving codes to complex, high-risk assets.

This year’s edition has seen Emirates Safety Lab (ESL) join as a key partner, Intersec as a Strategic Partner, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) as a Knowledge Partner, the University of South Florida (USF) as a Certification Partner, and key leaders in the industry as esteemed speakers.

Together, they will display insightful talks about challenges in the industry, advancements, and demonstrations of new technologies.

Although a regional event serving a Middle East audience primarily, the conferences take a global perspective, with key sponsors, partners and speakers scheduled to travel from outside of the region.

Disrupted airspace and heightened security risks for its international participants made proceeding in April untenable, as Mike Dingle, Director of Fire Middle East Conference, said: “Safety will always come first. While we’re naturally disappointed to delay what would have been our strongest edition yet, this decision ensures we can deliver the high-calibre strategic dialogue and networking our region needs – when everyone can participate fully and safely. All bookings, sponsorships and speaking roles remain confirmed for November.”

The organisers revealed the November dates preserve the Riyadh venue, speaker roster and core format, ensuring the same value when everyone can attend safely.

Anyone who registered for the event will automatically be registered for the November edition and does not need to take any further action.
