I am an emergency response professional with over 40 years of experience, recognised globally for my work in crisis management. Awarded the Queen's Fire Service Medal (QFSM), I led the implementation of the UK National Urban Search and Rescue capability under the government's New Dimension project. Throughout my career in the fire and rescue service, I gained extensive expertise across operations, fire safety, and training, operating at Gold/Strategic command levels. My specialist competences include Incident Command, Hazardous Materials, and Risk Management.
Since retiring, I established BR Training Solutions Limited, utilising my knowledge to develop organisational response plans and deliver fire-related projects internationally. I hold an MBA from Cumbria University in Leadership and Sustainability, completed in 2022, and am currently finalising an Executive Coaching Certificate. My approach is methodical and analytical; I pride myself on reviewing policies to identify sustainable amendments and communicating complex information clearly across all organisational levels.
