CET

Why Do You Need Foam?

Foam is needed for any fire or spill involving flammable or combustible solids or liquids. Water will not float on hydrocarbon products such as gasoline or diesel fuel. Water used on a fire in a contained area may sink, runoff or overflow. Foam reduces toxic and flammable vapors given off by fuels.

CET Fire Pumps manufactures a variety of foam trailers from 150 to 2,000 gallons. These versatile trailers are ideal for use in industrial, commercial, municipal and forestry environments.

Foam trailers provide a very effective tool for airport fuel storage and power plant installations.

Contact us for more information about our Foam Trailers product line. We can customized your unit according to your needs.

PROANO

Proano visits distributors across the Middle East

Jamie and Jordan, lead sales and technical design at Proano; recently dubbed by one customer as “The JJ Brothers”, have just embarked on an expedition across the Middle East – training, supporting and growing relationships with their network of valued distributors.

The two friends have been involved in Proano from grass-roots and are pivotal in the design, testing, manufacturing and promotion of the product. Self-confessed ‘experts’ of the NanoMist LPCB approved watermist system, the guys have conducted live fire demonstrations in front of the civil defence, met with local fire chiefs and exhibited at multiple tradeshows across the region.

NanoMist exploits a new low pressure technology developed by the team, which encapsulates all the benefits of utilising watermist in the protection of commercial kitchens. The beauty of NanoMist is – it’s just water! Quicker clean-up times, cheaper and rapid reinstatements, installations in a fraction of the time and less damage to equipment are all but a few of advantages associated with the kitchen fire suppression product. Restaurants, hotels, schools and hospitals can all reap the rewards of NanoMist ensuring their business is kept operating as normal during the busiest of periods.

The next step for the guys is to strengthen their market control and enlist partners who operate on a similar innovative and forward-thinking mind-set. This will assist in educating the industry on the new environmentally friendly technology and add real value to the ever growing market across the Middle East.

LEADER

LEADER Mix 200-1000 – Autonomous & Automatic Foam Proportioner

For precise proportioning of all types of foam concentrates!

AUTOMATIC, AUTONOMOUS AND RELIABLE INDUCTOR:

The LEADER Mix is the ideal compromise between conventional venturi inductors and traditional automatic systems because of the wide range of flow rates and injection ratios available.

Totally autonomous, it does not require power supply. Furthermore, thanks to a simple mechanical design, its maintenance is greatly reduced.

LARGE RANGE OF USE

The LEADER Mix has a wide range of flow rates (200 to 1050 l/min / 50 to 275 GPM) and a wide operating pressure range (from 5 to 16 bar / 75 to 230 PSI) permitting to replace three conventional injectors (200, 400 and 800 / 60, 95,125 and 250GPM).

ACCURATE METERING AND REDUCED CONSUMPTION

The LEADER Mix allows to precisely adjust the concentration of foam concentrate injected from 0.3% to 6% (metering accuracy meets EN16712 standard) and adapts itself to selected rate to the nozzle.

CREATE SUCTION EVERY TIME FOAM IS DESIRED !

The LEADER Mix instantly injects the foam concentrate. Furthermore, it isn’t affected by pressure variations and even works under 10 bar – 75 PSI.

2 VERSIONS AVAILABLE:

The LEADER Mix exists in two versions:

  • Vehicle version: on-board on a vehicle fire or integrated into fixed foam extinguishing system.
  • Portable version : use on ground and online by firefighters

Phos-Chek

Introducing Phos-Chek ULTRA 1×3 AR-AFFF

Introducing Phos-Chek ULTRA 1×3 AR-AFFF (Alcohol-Resistant Aqueous Film Forming Foam), a new formulation demonstrating ICL Performance Products’ commitment to superior firefighting performance and environmental responsibility, meeting the most widely recognized and respected third party certifications including LASTFIRE, UL162, and EN1568, and the intent of the US EPA 2010/2015 PFOA Stewardship Program.

Phos-Chek ULTRA 1×3 AR-AFFF is used in emergency response situations, fire suppression systems, and manual applications to fight a broad range of Class B flammable liquid fires including hydrocarbon fuels such as gasoline and diesel, and on polar solvent fuels such ketones and alcohols. Typical applications include storage tanks, loading racks, docks, process areas, warehouses, and as an excellent vapor suppressor for flammable liquid spills.

Phos-Chek ULTRA 1×3 AR-AFFF is a mixture of water, hydrocarbon surfactants, solvents, C6 fluorosurfactants and fluoropolymers. The product is a 1% x 3% concentrate that is intended to be proportioned at 1% for hydrocarbon fuel fires and at 3% for polar solvent fuel fires, allowing for rapid control and knockdown by producing a thin aqueous film on hydrocarbon fuels, or a polymer membrane on polar solvent fuels, that minimize vapor release. The foam blanket separates the fuel from the air, and continual draining of water from the foam blanket provides cooling at the fuel surface.

Approval certifications include:
LASTFIRE, UL 162, EN 1568-3 (Class IA) and EN 1568-4 (Class IA)

CHEMOURS

Peace of Mind from Chemours

The Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Metro, and the Mecca Railway represent only three of the many treasures of the Middle East protected by FM-200TM fire extinguishing systems. FM-200TM provides rapid extinguishment, minimal business interruption, and environmental sustainability backed by the FM-200TM Falcon Customer Protection Program.

Emissions of HFC clean agents such as FM-200TM in fire protection applications are extremely low, and their environmental impact is negligible. FM-200TM does not contribute to ozone depletion and its impact on global warming has been shown to be negligible. Regulatory bodies clearly understand this, as evidenced by two recent major regulatory decisions.

In July 2015 the U.S. EPA published its Final Rule 20 on HFC approval status. The effects of Final Rule 20 on FM-200TM? None whatsoever.

The “EU F-Gas II Regulation,” entered into force in January 2015. The EU F-Gas II Regulation does not restrict or limit the use of FM-200TM in fire protection.

Adding further support to the sustainability of FM-200TM, Chemours offers the FM-200TM Falcon Customer Protection Program (CPP). The Falcon CPP gives customers the assurance that they have chosen the best fire protection for their critical applications. The Falcon CPP provides a 20 year warranty for Chemours’ customers and is currently available in Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

With these recent major regulatory decisions, Chemours FM-200TM remains a sustainable fire protection solution.
