Passive fire protection installation

06 May Passive fire protection installation

International testing organisation Exova Warringtonfire, together with certification body Exova BM TRADA, will be providing expert guidance and a series of innovative, live demonstrations at FIREX International 2017 in London, 20-22 June.

Each day, Q-Mark and Certifire approved contractor London Fire Solutions will demonstrate best practice passive fire protection product installation on Exova’s 80 square metre stand C100.

The first session which commences at 1200hrs, will involve the installation of a double doorset into a full-scale mock-up of a typical corridor. At 1400hrs, London Fire Solutions will complete the installation of the remaining passive fire protection measures, including service pipes and protective collars alongside cables, cable trays and a fire bat.

In addition to the full-scale simulated cross-corridor set-up, the stand will feature a number of displays including a burnt fire door, three types of burnt fire resistant glazing, burnt structural steel and a burnt service pipe and collar.
